The Investigations Division of the Olympia Fields Police Department is responsible for continuing the investigations that begin with the Patrol Officer taking an incident report. Every case is assigned an Investigator. Detective Corporal Dean is in charge of overseeing all of the investigations village-wide. He is responsible for taking an incident report, verifying that all of the information contained within the report is true and accurate, seeking evidence and/or witnesses, and then interviewing the victims, witnesses, and suspects. When the suspect is eventually charged, Detective Corporal Dean then follows the case through the Cook County Criminal Court System until the suspect has either been convicted or acquitted.
